Thanks for your interest in these Story Sequence & Retell Activities for It’s Pumpkin Time! Six activities are included in this packet. You will need a copy of the book in order to successfully complete this activity.
This download includes color and black/white options for the following activities:
- Story sequence cards with book title labels and numeral & ordinal cards
- Story necklace activity
- Beginning, middle, and end sequencing activity
- Story sequence crown activity
- Opinion writing pages (gray lined & handwriting lined)
- Character crowns (for story reenactment)
Read the story to students (book not included). Once children are familiar with the book, practice sequencing the events together. This packet includes various levels of retell and writing activities to choose from.

Tip: Add adhesive business card magnets to the back of the cards to create an engaging magnet board math & literacy center activity. Students can sequence and number on their own or with a partner.
